Sandvik appoints new Country Manager for India

Parag Satpute has been appointed as the new Country Manager, India at Sandvik Asia. Satpute will be based at the company?s India headquarters at Pune. Commenting on the appointment, Olof Faxander, President and CEO, Sandvik Group said, ?India is an important country and part of Sandvik?s emerging market strategy. Satpute will continue to develop and further accelerate our growth plans in the Indian market. He has the appropriate acumen to take our Indian organisation forward?.

Sandvik Group to optimise supply chain

The Sandvik Group?s supply chain is to be optimised, reducing the number of production units from the current 150 to 125 over the next three to four years. The initial phase aimed at optimising the supply chain affects about ten production units, predominantly in Europe.

New CFO and EVP at Sandvik Group

Ajay Sambrani has been appointed as the new Country Head, India at Sandvik Asia, the Indian subsidiary of the $13 billion Sandvik Group. He was earlier appointed as President, Sandvik Materials Technology at Sandvik Asia in January this year
